7 x 1.5 hour After School Surf Coaching sessions 

Our After School Surf Coaching program is the next step for kids who can already surf independently and are looking to improve their technique, style, wave selection and lineup understanding, all whilst surfing with some like-minded groms and receiving immediate feedback from our coaches with the added bonus of video analysis.


This program is purchased as a block of 7 lessons running one afternoon per week for 7 weeks. There will be a maximum of 6 students during a session.

When:

Program will begin in Week 1, Term 4, 2026.
Lessons will run from 4pm - 5:30pm.

Wednesday Groups and Thursday Groups 


What you need to know:

Participants in this program must be between 10 - 15 years old and supply their own wetsuit and fiberglass surfboard to use during the session.

Surfers will be in the water unassisted (unless an emergency) so they must be competent in small - medium waves and be able to paddle into and catch unbroken waves by themselves.

Coaches will remain on the sand, filming all waves, and calling surfers back to shore individually to analyse footage and provide improvement techniques to implement immediately. 

Parents will be sent footage after each session.


Location:

These lessons will usually be held at North Avoca Beach. If the surf conditions are deemed (by the coach) too dangerous at North Avoca, the lesson will be moved to Terrigal Beach. If both of these beaches are unsuitable, the lesson will be postponed and an alternative session will be offered.

You will receive a text message 2 hours before each lesson informing you of where to meet the instructor.


Changes to sessions:

If any session needs to be postponed due to conditions (as deemed by the instructor) then you will be offered an alternative day and time to complete the missed session/s. If a suitable time cannot be found then you will receive a refund for the portion of the program that was cancelled.

If your child is unable to make a particular session, please let us know as early as possible. Makeup sessions can be arranged for missed sessions with 24hrs notice. No shows will not be eligible for makeup session credit.
